Mr. Cotter's practice is focused in the areas of transportation litigation, business litigation, retail representation, insurance coverage litigation, and appellate matters. He has handled matters in Ohio and Kentucky state and federal courts. In 2007, Mr. Cotter clerked for the Hon. Thomas M. Rose at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio where he gained valuable insights into the practice of civil litigation. |

- Successfully set aside a default judgment that had been entered against a medical services company in an amount over $200,000.
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of department of transportation employees in wrongful death case based on qualified official immunity for governmental employees.
- Successfully prevented plaintiffs from obtaining damages for "preimpact fear" in multiple lawsuits.
