Mr. Holmes focuses his practice on estate and trust planning and administration, estate planning for digital assets, special needs planning and administration, income, gift, generational and estate tax planning, probate and guardianship administration, and probate, trust and guardianship litigation. He also maintains an active corporate and real estate practice, both residential and commercial.

Representative Matters

  • Represented client in three-way commercial closing in excess of $7 million dollars
  • Represented executor in negotiation and approval of a multi-million dollar wrongful-death settlement, including a partial sealing of the court file in order to secure settlement confidentiality requirement
  • Represented business client in negotiating contracts with vendors, third-party administrators, and clients throughout the United States
  • Advised business client on the formation and implementation of an "Alternative Dispute Resolution" Rider to all commercial contracts
  • Represented client in forming a tax and succession plan for a multi-million dollar estate, including a beachfront vacation home on Lake Michigan
  • Represented client in drafting settlement agreement for a million-dollar liability to client including securing multiple security interests
