Jodi Cohen Joins Roetzel & Andress as an Associate Attorney

(FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. April 29, 2010) - Roetzel & Andress is pleased to announce that Jodi Cohen has joined the firm's Fort Lauderdale office as an Associate Attorney.

Ms. Cohen's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in both federal and state courts of Florida, including complex fraud actions, business torts and other complex litigation. Her litigation experience includes commercial tort and contract disputes, director and officer liability disputes, partnership disputes, antitrust and class action litigation, insurance coverage disputes, non-competes, employment disputes and other general commercial disputes. She has successfully represented clients from Fortune 500 companies to Internet start-ups in a wide variety of commercial disputes.

In addition, Ms. Cohen serves as General Counsel for Jack and Jill Children's Center, General Counsel for Artserve, and the National Council for Take Stock in Children. She is a past president of the Broward County Woman's Lawyer's Association and is a member of the Board of Directors for Planned Giving Council. She is a graduate of the Leadership Broward Class of 2006, was a finalist for the South Florida Business Journal Key Partners Award, Employment and Labor Section (2006), and the South Florida Business Journal Up and Comers (2007).

Ms. Cohen received her J.D. from the University of Miami in 2002, where she was the Articles and Comments Editor of the Business Law Review, and a Dean's Fellow. She received her M.B.A., magna cum laude from Nova Southeastern University in 1999, and her B.A., magna cum laude from the University of Florida in 1998.
