Roetzel & Andress' Akron office, located in the city's downtown district, is home to a team of over 60 attorneys. The office also houses the firm's corporate administrative departments. In 2009, 15 Akron attorneys were voted by Law and Politics magazine and Cincinnati Magazine as "Ohio Super Lawyers." Sixteen other attorneys, under age 40 or in practice ten years or less, were named as "Ohio Super Lawyers - Rising Stars." Nineteen attorneys from the Akron office were named to "The Best Lawyers in America® 2009." A number of our attorneys contribute their experience and insight gained from former government and business positions to assist our clients. Some of the posts previously held by our attorneys include: members of the Ohio House of Representatives; law directors; attorneys with the Environmental Enforcement Section of the Ohio Attorney General's Office; a supervising attorney with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency; a mayor; and a general counsel and senior executive officer. As Akron's oldest law firm, Roetzel & Andress is proud to be in the heart of Akron. The office's continual growth and commitment to the City is reflected in its selection of headquarter locations over the years. In the early 1980's, the firm renovated and moved into the Carnegie Library Building, which is now included in the National Registry of Historic Landmarks. In 1999, as a result of the need for additional space, Roetzel & Andress renovated and transformed the former O'Neil's department store building into its current office location, situated next to Canal Park Stadium, home of the Akron Aeros. |
