Jessica is a member of the litigation team, where her practice is focused on the defense of hospitals, physicians, nursing homes, home health care agencies, and other healthcare professionals in various aspects of civil litigation involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death. Jessica’s experience is diverse, including defense of cases involving claims of medical malpractice, professional negligence, products liability, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and premises liability. Jessica has considerable expertise in defending claims alleging labor and delivery errors, failure/delay in medical diagnosis, failure of patient safety initiatives, medication errors, wrong site surgery, surgical complications, and policy and procedure failures in both state and federal trial and appellate courts.

Jessica's clients also include property owners pursuing reduction of real estate taxes in local administrative hearings throughout Ohio and the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals. She also represents both commercial and residential property owners involved in lease disputes.

Jessica also provides advisory opinions to clients on risk management matters and has served as personal counsel to physicians and business owners involved in litigation and insurance coverage matters.

Having grown up in both Ohio and Florida, Jessica is no stranger to travel and adapts well to new and changing environments. In a blended family, she was raised with five step-siblings and during this time learned a great deal about the benefits of a blended family and the hardships those families can face. As a result, Jessica enjoys representing parties in private and step-parent adoptions as well.
