Overview

Michael focuses his practice in healthcare, specifially on employment issues, commercial litigation and white-collar criminal defense. He has extensive national trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of administrative proceedings and in disputes. His areas of expertise include restrictive covenants, licensing, hospital staff privileges, practice dissolutions, qui tam actions, fraud audits and investigations, employment and labor matters, discrimination claims, harassment issues, contract breaches, insurance bad faith issues and white-collar criminal defense matters.

Michael has taught trial practice courses to practicing lawyers and law students offered by several Chicago area law schools and various branches of the Illinois judicial system. He is also a certified instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He is a certified arbitrator and mediator for the American Health Lawyers Association.
