Closing practice? Make patients aware, records available, responsibility clear

Lee Levin was recently quoted in an article discussing key considerations for closing healthcare and dental practices. Levin, an attorney with Roetzel & Andress in Chicago, says "arrangements must be made to keep patient records secure and available post-closing — not only as an ethical obligation, but also to fulfill responsibilities under state and federal laws and regulations and to be prepared for possible malpractice suits."
