Roetzel & Andress LPA is pleased to announce the addition of Donna F. Hartl as a shareholder in the Corporate, Tax and Transactional Group in the firm’s Chicago office.
Ms. Hartl focuses her practice on tax planning, tax dispute work, estate planning, guardianship, probate and trust administration. She has a particular expertise in crafting creative and effective resolutions of corporate and individual federal, state and local tax planning issues and controversy work. Ms. Hartl also advises on succession planning, administration and transfer of assets, estate and gift tax returns and minor and adult guardianships. She advises individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations on philanthropic planning matters, including charitable gift planning, creation and maintaining non-profit organizations, and counseling charitable organizations on tax compliance issues.

A member of American Mensa, Ms. Hartl received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.A. in accounting and political science from North Central College of Naperville. An Illinois Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Hartl has also been named an Illinois Super Lawyer, and is a member of the Leading Lawyers Network, having been named in July of 2019 as one of the Top-10 attorneys for personal tax in the State of Illinois. She is currently a member of the Illinois State Bar Association State and Local Tax Council and is a former member and former Chairperson of its Federal Tax Council.
