Roetzel is pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa R. Hoeffel as partner-in-charge of the law firm’s Columbus office, effective January 1, 2016.

Ms. Hoeffel focuses her practice on government relations and administrative law, with an emphasis on legislative and executive agency lobbying, campaign finance and election law, government contract procurement, and hearings before various administrative agencies and boards. She counsels small and large companies, trade associations and nonprofit entities on legislative and administrative matters in a diverse range of industries including health care, information technology, telecommunications, and education. She also advises clients on campaign finance and election issues including Political Action Committee formation and compliance, political giving strategies and representation before the Ohio Elections Commission. In addition, she has considerable experience advising clients with business transactions requiring transfers of regulatory licenses and development of compliance procedures in multiple jurisdictions.
A graduate of The College of Wooster with a B.A. in Economics, Ms. Hoeffel went on to earn her J.D. from Capital University Law School. She is also a graduate of both Leadership Columbus and The Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute. Further, she has been honored as an “Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star.” Ms. Hoeffel is a member of the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations.View PDF
