Roetzel Announces New Partner-in-Charge of Ohio and New Office Partners-in-Charge in Northeast Ohio

Roetzel is pleased to announce four new leadership roles in Ohio.

Partner Bradley A. Wright has assumed the role as Partner-in-Charge of Ohio, handling day-to-day operations for all Ohio Offices that include locations in Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo. Wright will continue his role as Marketing Partner for the firm, in addition to leading operations and business development efforts in Ohio. Wright is the industry group leader for Roetzel's Transportation Law Group and has been the Partner-in-Charge of the Akron Office since 2008. With his new role, Wright has transitioned the management of the Akron Office to Partner Brian J. Moore. Moore, who is now the Partner-in-Charge of the Akron Office, is also the Practice Group Leader for the Real Estate, Banking, and Finance Practice Group; he is celebrating 28 years with the firm. He has held leadership roles with the PGA World Golf Championship/NEC Invitational (now the Bridgestone Invitational), United Way of Summit County, Northern Ohio Golf Charities, American Red Cross, Downtown Akron Partnership, Greenleaf Family Center, Portage Country Club, Leadership Akron Alumni Association, and the Summit Choral Society. “There could not have been a more perfect choice than Brian Moore to follow Brad Wright as Partner-in-Charge of our Akron Office,” stated Robert Blackham, President. “Brian's commitment to Akron's business and philanthropic communities has been recognized time and time again. His dedication to client service, high level of legal expertise, and commitment to our firm and its members make him the ideal candidate to lead our Akron Office. We, as a firm, are fortunate to have leaders like Brian to secure our future in the various cities in which we practice.”

Robert E. Blackham assumed the role of President of Roetzel last February, which has led to the improvement of the firm’s management structure, encouraged growth, and positioned the firm for success. With this new role as President and his added responsibilities, Blackham has transitioned the management of the Cleveland Office to Partner Douglas E. Spiker. Spiker, who is now Partner-in-Charge of the Cleveland Office, is also the Practice Group Leader of Roetzel’s Employment and Labor Group and has been with the firm for 18 years. He has held leadership positions such as the Chair of Governance Committee for the Lakewood Hospital Foundation Board and is a Leadership Cleveland graduate, class of 2013. “Doug Spiker was the logical choice to lead our Cleveland Office, given his commitment to all of Northeast Ohio,” said Blackham. “With his intense focus on client service and his ability to lead by example to others, I have no doubt that our thriving Cleveland Office will continue to grow and provide the high-caliber of legal service our clients have come to expect under Doug's leadership.”
