Roetzel & Andress is pleased to announce that attorney Moriah Cheatham-Williams has been named a 2021 “30 for the Future” award recipient by the Greater Akron Chamber. Cheatham-Williams was recognized during an award ceremony on October 7 at Canal Park.
The 30 for the Future Award honors young professionals ages 25-39 who live and/or work in the Greater Akron Region, are trendsetters in their industries, and make an impact on the region through dynamic leadership and community service. Recipients were nominated by members of the Greater Akron Chamber and regional profit and non-profit organizations, including many of the region’s young professional organizations.
Cheatham-Williams focuses her practice on transportation and product liability and was recently selected to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for both transportation law and product liability litigation – defendants. Currently, she is a Barberton Community Foundation Board Member where she serves on the economic development committee, scholarship committee and finance committee. She is a member of the Barberton Kiwanis Club, a volunteer with the Barberton Police Department, a volunteer with Barberton City Schools where she serves on the Key Communicator Committee to assist and coordinate community partnerships for the Year 13 Program. In addition, Cheatham-Williams is a member of the Greater Akron Chamber Equity & Inclusion Committee, a volunteer with Barberton’s Community Holiness Church, serves as treasurer of The Honorable Betty Sutton’s campaign, and volunteers with the Bounce Innovation Hub.
Cheatham-Williams is a member of the Charles F. Scanlon and Judge Samuel H. Bell Inn of Court, Akron-Canton Barristers Association, Akron Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and the Northern District of Ohio chapter of the Federal Bar Association. She is also a member of the USLAW Network, an international organization of law firms dedicated to improving client service.
