Roetzel & Andress is pleased to announce that Andrew J. Moody has joined the firm as a shareholder in the Corporate, Tax & Transactional Group in Youngstown, furthering the Group’s capabilities to service corporate clients in the Mahoning Valley and beyond.

Moody’s practice focuses on business and real estate transactions, advising clients on contract negotiations, business structuring, and operational matters. He has significant experience in commercial leasing, representing both landlords and tenants across a wide range of industry sectors, including retail, office, and industrial. He advises clients on all aspects of lease negotiations, compliance, and strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. He also counsels clients on real estate transactions, from purchases and sales to site acquisition and construction.
In addition, Moody has a strong background in franchising and multi-unit business operations, having previously served as general counsel for a large national franchisee. He advises clients on franchise agreements, regulatory compliance and operational best practices, as well as acquisitions and expansions within franchise systems. He is an active member of ICSC (f/k/a International Council of Shopping Centers) and a frequent presenter at the ICSC U.S. Law Conference.
Moody is active in his community as Chairman of Cardinal Mooney High School’s Board of Directors, President of Notre Dame Club of Mahoning & Shenango Valleys, and a volunteer with the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley. He is a member of the Mahoning County Bar Association and Ohio State Bar Association.
Moody earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, an M.P.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Capital University Law School.
