Ms. Smith represents businesses and individuals in matters related to bankruptcy, debt restructuring, and insolvency. She has represented clients in a number of complex bankruptcy and litigation matters, including the representation of commercial debtors in chapter 11 reorganizations and in contested matters, including confirmation issues.

In addition to her bankruptcy work, Ms. Smith has represented sellers and purchasers in transactions related to specialized goods, including aircraft, petroleum tankers, and medical supplies. She has also litigated fraudulent and preferential transfer actions on behalf of both debtor and creditor clients. Her experience also includes landlord/tenant negotiations and the representation of retailers.
