Overview
Charlie helps his clients ensure that their wealth passes to their loved ones in accordance with their desires, all while minimizing estate, gift, and generation skipping taxes. He advises clients on all areas of estate planning, from simple wills and powers of attorney, to complex trust and charitable giving strategies. He also works with business owners with succession planning and wealth transfer tax planning needs, and is experienced with probate estate administration, trust administration, and related litigation.
Charlie’s clients appreciate his practical and thorough approach to estate planning, and rely on his expertise with probate estate, trust, and federal estate and gift tax law. Charlie strives to give his clients peace of mind that comes from a well-developed estate plan that aligns with their goals with the flexibility needed to account for life’s changes.
Before joining Roetzel, Charlie worked at PNC Private Bank as a trust officer and later as a retirement consultant. As a trust officer he administered investment and trust accounts of wealthy families across the county. While a retirement consultant, he provided advice and counsel regarding qualified retirement plans and IRAs, especially in situations where these accounts were payable to trusts.
