Overview

Dan focuses his practice on public law and government relations with an emphasis on legislative and regulatory matters in a variety of substantive areas to include oil and gas infrastructure; government procurement; business transactions requiring transfer of regulatory licenses and compliance procedures in multiple jurisdictions; state employment tax; sales and use tax; municipal law; health care trends, pharmacy law, and Medicaid reimbursement.

Dan also advises clients on ballot levies, campaign finance and ethics compliance. On behalf of various clients, Dan has sought and obtained a Gubernatorial criminal pardon, legislative vetoes, and Executive Orders. He has extensive experience in the political arena at the state and local levels. He served under two Ohio Senate Presidents in various capacities, including Chief Legal and Legislative Counsel. He has significant contacts in several states and has testified at administrative hearings and before several state legislatures and regulatory agencies. He represents several Fortune 500 clients, state trade associations, and a variety of other interests concerned with public policy development.
