Overview

Mr. Hanley represents his clients on a wide range of litigation matters. His responsibilities primarily include representing clients in land contract and mineral rights disputes, as well as defending against product liability and toxic tort claims, environmental and financial regulatory claims, and advising clients in data security matters. Mr. Hanley also represents clients in trust and estate litigation, and defends real estate agents in professional liability actions.

Mr. Hanley’s practice also expands beyond litigation into advising clients on data security & privacy compliance matters, particularly in preparation for the implementation of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation. In connection with this work, Mr. Hanley has assisted clients in implementing systems and policies that are both compliant and defensible based on institutional risks and needs. He has also represented clients in connection with contract disputes involving construction projects.

Mr. Hanley has successfully represented prison inmates in federal court in litigation concerning employment rights and necessary accommodation under the ADA.
