Overview
Wade’s practice is focused in the areas of estate and business planning, estate and trust administration, estate litigation, and guardianship proceedings for minors and incapacitated adults. He works with high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses to implement estate and succession planning strategies to transfer wealth to younger generations and minimize taxation, to plan for Medicaid eligibility and the protection of assets, and to utilize special needs trusts for disabled beneficiaries. Wade represents both individual and corporate fiduciaries in the administration of estates and trusts and has experience in estate and trust litigation, including estate and inheritance tax appeals and petitions for refund, application of the Slayer’s Act, objections to accounts of estate and trust administration, will contests, and bringing and defending against actions for surcharges and the removal of executors and trustees.
