Douglas E. Spiker, shareholder-in-charge of Roetzel’s Cleveland Office, has been elected to serve a three-year term on the Board of Trustees for Playhouse Square.
For over three decades, Mr. Spiker has focused his practice on the defense of employers in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance and workers’ compensation claims. He provides advice and counsel based on his acquired knowledge of each client’s business practices and goals, taking into account their operations, personnel, products, and services to guide the development of proactive and preventative programs that help to avoid legal repercussions down the road.
Mr. Spiker has served on the Lakewood Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees (2011-2017), Three Arches Foundation Board of Trustees (2018) and was a graduate of Leadership Cleveland (2013).
As the country’s largest performing arts center outside of New York, Playhouse Square utilizes the arts to engage individuals and attract more than one million guests per year to its 1,000+ annual events. These audiences act as the catalyst for economic growth and vitality within the region.
Also, Playhouse Square has the largest season ticket holder base in the country for touring Broadway productions at over 46,000. Cleveland is also among an elite group of cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C., able to support touring Broadway shows for three weeks.
