Hilson Receives Founders Award from OCLRE

The Ohio Center for Law-Related Education (OCLRE) presented Roetzel Shareholder Dan Hilson with one of its highest honors—the Founders’ Award—at its annual Law & Citizenship Conference on September 17, 2018 in Columbus.  Named in honor of OCLRE’s founding members, the Founders’ Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the ideals and growth of civics and law-related education. Recipients develop or support programs that engage students in learning about democracy and the importance of civic responsibility.  

Mr. Hilson has been of member of OCLRE since 1995 and is a past president of its Board of Trustees.

Mr. Hilson focuses his practice on public law and government relations with an emphasis on legislative and regulatory matters in a variety of substantive areas to include oil and gas infrastructure, government procurement, business transactions requiring transfer of regulatory licenses and compliance procedures in multiple jurisdictions, state employment tax, sales and use tax, municipal law, health care trends, pharmacy law, and Medicaid reimbursement.
