John Coyne Takes Reins of Roetzel's Real Estate Practice; One Associate Elevated to Partner

Roetzel is pleased to announce the promotion of one of its Associates to Partner — Zachary D. Prendergast  In addition, John M. Coyne III has been chosen to lead the firm’s Real Estate Practice.

Prendergast, located in the firm’s Cincinnati office, represents secured and unsecured creditors at all stages of commercial loan transactions. His clients include financial institutions, special servicers, REIT's, commercial leasing companies, and acquirers of commercial debt. He earned his B.A. from Marquette University and his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude

Coyne, who is stepping into the role of Real Estate Practice Group Manager (the group’s former manager, Brian Moore, was recently named Partner-in-Charge of the Akron office), focuses his practice on transactional real estate, condominium development, and association law. He handles real estate transactions representing developer clients and owners in a wide array of issues, from acquisition to financing, leasing, and other development issues. He has also been involved in hospital development projects and other institutional developments. Located in the Akron office, Coyne began his legal career as an Associate at Roetzel. He earned his B.S. from the University of Tennessee, his M.B.A. from Cleveland State University, and his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude.
