Roetzel & Andress Adds Government Relations Professional in Pennsylvania

Roetzel & Andress LPA has bolstered its Government Relations team with the addition of an experienced government relations and lobbying professional.

Lou Crocco joins Roetzel Of Counsel, and will work from his location in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

“Lou’s arrival exemplifies our commitment to enhancing both the breadth and quality of services that we can provide to our clients as they encounter the need for regulatory and legal advice and counsel in dealing with local, state and federal government and their agencies,” said Lewis W. Adkins, Jr., Practice Group Manager of the firm’s Public Law, Regulatory and Finance team. “We look forward to working with Lou and having him join an already strong team.”

Crocco has over 20 years of experience as a top legislative staffer and lobbyist in Pennsylvania. He served as a committee staffer for the Pennsylvania House Health and Human Services Committee and then as Executive Director of the Republican House Policy Committee. Following his time in the Pennsylvania legislature, Crocco joined an international law firm where he served as Western Pennsylvania Director, Senior Director and then Pennsylvania Managing Director of the firm. Immediately prior to joining Roetzel, Crocco served as Managing Director of a prominent bi-partisan government affairs and issue management firm based in Washington, D.C.

Crocco represents clients from across the U.S. as an advocate before all branches of the Pennsylvania government and before the United States Congress. Represented among his numerous national and international clients are technology companies, energy companies, statewide non-profit associations, and regional health systems, among others.

In addition to his advocacy work, Crocco is a published author on the topics of both legislative advocacy and natural gas development in the Marcellus Shale formation. He also holds a patent for technology related to shale gas development.

Crocco holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Saint Francis University and a J.D. from the Widener University School of Law. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania and Maryland bar.
