Overview

Dave focuses his practice in the areas of oil and gas, general business and corporate, construction, creditor’s rights and real estate.  He is a second-generation oil and gas attorney with over 30 years of experience in the industry. His extensive experience includes a broad spectrum of oil and gas litigation, including Dormant Mineral Act, Marketable Title Act, mineral trespass, lack of production, and quiet title cases throughout Ohio, and an array of mineral title issues, including drilling opinions and curative analysis. Dave also handles mineral owner matters such as leasing, lease ratifications, pipeline easements, surface development, royalty audits and mineral LLCs. He is the former Chair of the Natural Resources Law Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association.

Dave also represents several privately held corporations throughout northern Ohio. His business practice includes representation of many agricultural cooperatives, elevators and feed suppliers, where he handles matters such as input financing, credit work-outs and re-finances, creditor’s rights and bankruptcy. He also represents construction owners, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, handling matters such as construction contracting, claims and claims avoidance, mechanics’ liens and bond claims.
