Overview
Mike is an attorney in the firm's Products & Transportation practice group and has extensive experience in transportation and logistics law. He provides legal representation to motor carriers, property brokers, and shippers, assisting them with mergers and acquisitions, freight damage and loss claims, contracts, risk management, independent contractor issues, intermodal challenges, regulatory compliance, and other transportation and logistics matters.
As the General Counsel of a prominent national transportation trade association, Mike is well-versed in a wide range of transportation subjects. Additionally, he is an active member of the Conference of Freight Council (CFC), the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA), and the American and Ohio State Bar Associations.
Mike is also highly knowledgeable in trade regulation. He regularly advises clients on antitrust and price discrimination issues, ensuring their compliance with relevant laws and regulations. He is a respected speaker and writer, regularly sharing his expertise on antitrust law and compliance topics.
Mike has a strong track record of representing clients before the United States Federal and State courts, the Surface Transportation Board (STB), the U.S. Departments of Transportation and Justice, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). He is also the former Chairman of the Antitrust Law Section of the Ohio Bar Association and has taught antitrust law at the University of Toledo College of Law.
