Emily Anglewicz Sworn in as Magistrate for Mayor’s Court of Cuyahoga Falls

Roetzel attorney Emily Anglewicz was sworn in as a Magistrate for the Mayor’s Court of Cuyahoga Falls by Mayor Don Walters on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. The Mayor’s Court has jurisdiction over certain traffic and misdemeanor offenses committed within city limits. Magistrates are appointed by the Mayor of Cuyahoga Falls to hear cases that come before the court.

“I am excited about this opportunity and grateful to the firm for supporting my commitment to public service,” said Anglewicz.

Anglewicz is a member of Roetzel’s Appellate and Business Litigation groups and practices in a variety of substantive areas including commercial, oil and gas, property rights, public law, and election law. A significant portion of her practice involves appellate matters statewide, including appeals and extraordinary writs before the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Prior to entering private practice, Anglewicz served as a long-time judicial attorney for Judge Mary DeGenaro of the Seventh District Court of Appeals.  She continued in that role at the Supreme Court of Ohio, following DeGenaro’s appointment as Justice.
