On March 13, 2020, the Ohio Attorney General, Dave Yost, provided the attached guidance regarding Ohio’s Open Meeting Act in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, Attorney General Yost discussed the option for local public bodies to use electronic means to meet and still comply with Ohio law, as well as keeping a meeting open to the public by live-streaming it on the internet or television, in order to limit the gathering of large crowds and containing the spread of COVID-19.
