Christopher has decades of experience in real estate, title insurance law, and litigation experience, with an emphasis on title insurance law and Closing Protection Letter (“CPL”) litigation. He represents a substantial array of publicly-traded corporations, closely-held businesses, landowners and developers. Christopher counsels clients in controversies involving title insurance policies and CPLs, disputes concerning title and ownership of oil, gas, and mineral rights and interests, real estate development and zoning, construction, and business disputes. He represents technology companies including an information security consulting company at the forefront of attack simulations with a focus on strategic risk management, as well as other skilled providers of technology, marketing, and development services that provide around-the-clock service domestically and internationally.

Experience
  • Represents title insurers in disputes with the FDIC, lenders and third-parties involving title insurance, CPLs, and unconventional title insurance products 
  • Represents title insurers and their insureds, under owner’s and lender’s policies of title insurance, CPLs, and escrow agreements, in various matters involving coverage issues, agent defalcation, escrow matters, disputes, and claims 
  • Represents landowners and developers in matters involving adverse claims concerning the title and ownership of oil, gas, and mineral rights and interests, and disputes involving them 
  • Prosecutes and defends claims for publicly-held corporations, closely-held businesses, and landowners in all manner of disputes which touch or concern real property, including those arising from development activities, oil and gas activities, zoning, and administrative proceedings
