Daniel K. Glessner

Dan focuses his practice on corporate, regulatory, and compliance issues for hospitals, physician practices, dialysis centers, ancillary health care companies, and other health care entities.

Dan provides counsel on a myriad of health care and corporate issues including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, medical staff and licensure issues, physician employment agreements, contracts, Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payor audits and reimbursement issues, HIPAA, fraud and abuse, patient-related issues, regulatory compliance concerns, and various state law issues.

In the continuing evolution of Health Care Reform, Dan focuses on ensuring that health care clients are in compliance with all new and revised laws and helps develop strategic models to respond to changes in the health care industry. Previously, Dan served as in-house counsel with Akron General Health System for 16 years.

• Experience with handling Internal Revenue Service audits and Office of Inspector General investigations 
• Corporate governance issues to include implementing best practices for institutional integrity 
• Assisted in the formation and monitoring of corporate compliance and HIPAA compliance programs
