Grant is an associate in the Business Litigation Group, where he focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation and bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. He represents businesses, financial institutions, municipalities, and individuals in disputes in state and federal trial courts and United States Bankruptcy Courts. 

His work includes defending municipalities in appropriation actions, prosecuting zoning and property maintenance code violations, representing creditors in bankruptcy and collection matters, and resolving high-stakes commercial disputes. Grant works to ensure clients can navigate complex legal issues and achieve practical, business-minded results through both litigation and dispute resolution.

  • Defended a municipality in a real property appropriation action under Ohio law. 
  • Successfully defended a federal court action involving contractor liability for payments to subcontractors and a factoring company under UCC.
  • Successfully vacated a default judgment in state court proceedings and resolved commercial contract dispute with alleged liability exceeding $1.6 million. 
  • Successfully defended a financial institution against claims under the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act.
  • Successfully prosecuted adversary proceedings in United States Bankruptcy Court involving fraudulent and preferential transfers in violation of the United States Bankruptcy Code and Ohio law. 
  • Successfully represented an out of state creditor in the collection and court-ordered return of collateral and personal property moved across state lines. 
  • Successfully prosecuted preliminary and permanent injunction actions involving violations of municipal zoning and property maintenance code violations.
