Amanda Ferguson Joins Roetzel's Environmental Law Group in Columbus

Roetzel & Andress is pleased to announce that Amanda M. Ferguson has joined the firm as an associate in the Environmental Law Group in Columbus. 

Ferguson will focus her practice on environmental law, advising clients on compliance, permitting, and regulatory matters. She represents clients in state and federal environmental enforcement litigation, appeals, and administrative proceedings. Her experience includes issues related to the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, RCRA, CERCLA, and NEPA, as well as corresponding state and local regulations. She also assists clients with environmental due diligence for commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.

Prior to joining Roetzel, Ferguson spent more than a decade in the public sector, representing state and federal agencies. She previously served as Attorney Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy's Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center and as an Assistant Attorney General, representing the Ohio EPA, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and the Ohio Department of Agriculture.  She also held roles as Deputy Chief Legal Counsel for the Ohio Secretary of State and as an Attorney for the Legislative Service Commission.

Ferguson earned her J.D., cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she served as Editor of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law. She received her B.S. in Public Policy, summa cum laude, from The University of Charleston.
