Amanda M. Ferguson

Amanda focuses her practice on environmental law, advising clients on compliance, permitting, and regulatory matters. She represents clients in state and federal environmental enforcement litigation, appeals, and administrative proceedings. Her experience includes matters related to the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, RCRA, CERCLA, and NEPA, as well as corresponding state and local regulations.

Amanda also assists clients with environmental due diligence for commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, helping businesses navigate regulatory challenges and mitigate environmental risks.

Before joining Roetzel, Amanda spent more than a decade in the public sector, representing state and federal agencies. She previously served as Attorney Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center and as an Assistant Attorney General, representing the Ohio EPA, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Ohio Department of Agriculture. She also held roles as Deputy Chief Legal Counsel for the Ohio Secretary of State and as an Attorney for the Legislative Service Commission.
