Attorney Melissa M. Cuddington Joins Roetzel’s Chicago Office

Further strengthening its Corporate, Tax & Transactional Group in Chicago, Roetzel & Andress has added attorney Melissa M. Cuddington as an associate.  

Cuddington’s practice focuses on health care with an emphasis in both transactional and litigation matters. She represents and counsels health care providers, including physicians and mid-level providers, on a variety of issues, including government investigations, professional licensing, medical staff discipline and structuring employment agreements, and ensuring compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations, such as the Illinois Medical Practice Act. Additionally, Cuddington has experience representing health care providers in litigation involving labor and employment disputes, issues involving non-competes, and contesting adverse clinical privileging actions taken by hospitals. Her experience also extends to representing health care providers before state and federal administrative agencies for disputes involving licensure matters and billing privilege appeals.

Cuddington earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and her B.A. from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and Arizona. Cuddington is a member of the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys; the Illinois State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Section Council, Administrative Law Section Council  and Cannabis Law Section Council; and the State Bar of Arizona.
