Luis A. Cortinas

Luis focuses his practice on construction law and civil litigation. He assists owners, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in resolving potential and actual construction disputes through mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Luis has represented clients in matters dealing with a wide range of issues including specification and plan interpretation, claims for extra work, wrongful termination, defective work, failure to prosecute work, non-payment, liens, and professional negligence. Luis has handled cases related to mixed use high-rise building construction, courthouse construction, luxury RV resort construction and operation, and hotel construction. 

Prior to joining Roetzel & Andress, Luis spent more than nine years with a large commercial construction company, where he served in the company’s in-house litigation department, representing its various divisions nationwide in mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
