Scott is a shareholder in the Corporate, Tax & Transactional Group where he provides counsel to businesses across a range of industries. His practice spans corporate structuring, contract drafting and negotiation, trademark registration and protection, and the creation of service agreements, particularly for web-based and intellectual property-centric industries. 

Scott’s trademark practice encompasses clearance of proposed marks, prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and enforcement of trademark rights. He is also experienced in copyright law, assisting with registrations and infringement claims. 

Before joining Roetzel, Scott served as Senior Counsel at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, managing its trademark portfolio. He also represented a wide range of clients, including marketing agencies, hemp and cannabis businesses, short-term rental companies, restaurants, photographers, influencers, authors, and musicians.
