Overview

Mr. Adkins leads a large and diverse team of attorneys and lobbyists in the public law arena as Practice Group Manager at Roetzel and as President of Roetzel Consulting Solutions.  His team represents our clients' interests before state legislatures, administrative agencies, and executive branches of state governments in providing legal and political solutions to important issues.  Mr. Adkins also oversees Roetzel's Public Finance team.

Mr. Adkins focuses his practice on public law. He serves as lead counsel to numerous large, public and private entities throughout Ohio and Washington, D.C. He has also acted as lead counsel for several multi-million dollar development projects. His clients include public and private entities, as well as diversified energy companies, governmental entities, housing authorities, and nonprofit organizations. Additionally, Mr. Adkins previously served as General Counsel to Summit County, Ohio.

  • Serves as lead outside governmental relations counsel for Ohio's largest banking institution
  • Represents the Mid-West’s largest construction firm in negotiating several million dollar projects

  • Lead a $200 M large university campus redevelopment project
  • Lead a municipality for a significant Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) mandate on a federal level
  • Participated in a significant airport project in Northeast Ohio
  • Helped in the development of the Akron Urban League/City of Akron/County of Summit school project headquarters
  • Counseled client on numerous public/private projects collectively valued well over $100 million dollars
  • Served as lead counsel for Ohio's largest community correction facility
  • Assisted in the site developed of the Cleveland Industrial Park
