Overview

Brad is the Shareholder in charge of the firm's litigation practice groups. He has led the firm's Transportation Law Group, a team of attorneys whose legal skills and client service have led to the firm’s recognition as a National Tier “Best Law Firm” in Transportation Law by U.S. News and World Report magazine. A tireless advocate and trusted legal advisor for over 30 years, Brad’s experience includes jury trials, mediations, and arbitrations in federal, state, and local courts, where he represents his nationwide client base in semi-tractor trailer and motor vehicle litigation. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers since 2008 and as Lawyer of the Year in transportation law.

In addition to his work for transportation clients, Brad is a nationally recognized retail litigator.  He serves as national coordinating counsel and relationship counsel for multiple retail entities and as their "go to" emergency response attorney in a regional and local capacity.

During Brad’s tenure at Roetzel, he has been instrumental in developing, and then leading, the firm’s Emergency Response and Crisis Management Team – a group of Roetzel attorneys that provides 24/7/365 emergency response capabilities to our clients in any industry. Brad and the team work with clients at every step to address issues that may arise as a result of industrial accidents, personal injuries, or other catastrophes, providing end-to-end capabilities from the investigatory stage through litigation.

Given his prominence in the transportation and retail sectors, Brad is often invited to speak at industry conferences and seminars, where he educates his legal peers, together with transportation and retail industry personnel, in relevant and timely legal topics. Many of these opportunities have arisen through Brad’s relationship with USLAW, where he serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He was USLAW Chair from 2013-2014. He has recently served as Chair of USLAW’s Transportation Group. In addition to his ongoing leadership through USLAW, Brad has also been a prominent speaker at conferences held by the American Trucking Association, the Transportation Lawyers Association, The Trans-European Law Firm Alliance (TELFA), and the Arkansas Trucking Conference, the largest trucking conference in the country. Brad is also active in the Transportation Industry Defense Association (TIDA), the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), Defense Research Institute (DRI) - Transportation and Retail Section, and the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC), where he is slated to assume the role of Vice Chair for the Transportation Practice Group.
